It Was A Crappy Way To Start My Day

Is this why they call it the dog days of Summer?

I didn't have my child do this today but I did end up with dog poop on my carpet. It was in a "S" shaped, long trail of ball poops right to my bedside. I guess I had it coming because Beaux (our dog) has been eating really random things. He seems to eat everything BUT dog food these days. I have found him chewing toilet paper (his fav) or tinfoil (go figure?) and most anything he can get his little teeth into. He's like my walking dumpster. . . well, more like shredder as he eats part of whatever it is and shreds the rest across the room.

This was all fun and games until he became constipated. It was a bit sad (yet comical) to watch Beaux in his "got to poo" stance for 10-15 minutes at a time. It was all to no avail! I couldn't let this go on all day. . or could I? So I read online that if you give them milk it will help loosen things up and so I did. I had to throw in some cereal to get him to touch it though. Last night I remembered that wet dog food seemed to give him the cha- chas and so I gave him some of that.

I guess I overloaded his system and he so kindly unloaded on my floor. . . Guess I had that coming.

at least you didnt step in it and have it goosh between your toes. Daysie has been digging the same hole for a few days she almost can fit her whole body in it. I believe that she is digging her own grave.

I don't know if you read the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, but she's got some hysterical dog scenes involving dog yak and poo. The tears were streaming down my face.

I think he was pooping out of spite...like that time Smith pooped outside my bedroom door because he was mad at me.....good times, good times.

Oh lord.

The turkeys spite poop on the door mat right outside my sewing room door. They know I don't get up early so they save up all night and then come and unload at my door.

My mom's ancient chocolate Lab, Shadow somehow managed to lift his feeble body up enough to steal her fruitcake soaking on the kitchen counter. He ate it all. It was like 11 pounds. He crapped for days and days without stopping.

I silently thanked him for his valiant sacrifice. The fruitcake was to be gifted to us. Fo reals.

I don't know....maybe all the nutrients in dog poop would make your toes soft and supple and at least 30 years younger looking. I'd love to leak that out as a scientific press release and see how many fools start rubbing it on their faces.

So remember when I was pregnant and we were living in Mom and Dad's basement? Well, Sparky popped at the top of the stairs, and I stepped in it and tracked it all the way downstairs. Yeah, it could always be worse!

Oh, now that just brought back a horrible memory. We were visiting my in-laws, who had a lovely two-story home with pure white carpeting throughout. Our dog dined on the contents of the cat box, then barfed it all in the middle of the family room. I discovered it while everybody else was upstairs in the living room and frantically tried to clean it up before anybody found out. The smell was, um, rich. And I didn't quite manage to clean it all up, but I made it better before anybody had to see.

LMAO!!! We had a puppy inside this winter who was a eat and shred machine. Then she'd get under our couch and run around on her belly looking like some mini monster out of a horror movie. I tried to get my hubby to namer her Taz but she ended up with the name of Pepper. A spicy little thing that makes you sneeze your eyes water.

Okay, so I just barely actually read the cartoon, and it made me laugh so hard! hahaha so true

Your dog eats tin foil?
Doesn't that hurt his fillings?

Our dog used to eat all of my sewing scraps. I usually sew with brightly colored fabrics, and they went right through her. It sure made it easier to find her poop in the back yard.
