Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream. . . . .

"I sailed away to China in a little rowboat to find ya. And you said you had to get your laundry clean.". . . . . Now just what kind of friend are you? Here I've been sailing for so long using my hands for oars (you can see there are none above!) and you blow me off that way?. . . . OK, enough of that song. It just depresses me!! Anyone who would trade laundry for me!! But really I had a dream last night. No kidding I did! This dream just happens to be a reoccuring dream for me and I really want to know why I have it and just what does it mean?
I actually have two reoccuring dreams that are different and yet quite the same. The first one is where I am back in college and I realize that I haven't attended one of my classes the whole semester and it's almost over. I also dream, in that same dream, that I can't find my class or that I completely blew off studying for a big test. THAT is the dream I had last night! It was all about school!
My other dream is that I am just getting ready to go out on the field and perform with the dance team and I realize that I don't know the dance at all!! And worse than that, I am sometimes in my underwear and NOT my costume!! I tend to wake up REALLY ticked off at myself for my poor performance!! Did I forget to do something in my life and it's haunting me in my dreams?? Am I worried about something? I can't make heads or tails of it!
A crazy dream that I used to have over and over was that I was working on a conveyor belt where cheeseburgers would come past. I had to eat all the cheeseburgers that came down by me. There would ALWAYS be TOO many and I would panic as I would try to shove them all down my throat! I swear I would wake up sick and in a cold sweat!! The weirdest part is that I was mostly vegetarian at the time and didn't eat hamburger!! Those dreams have stopped and the others have started! So I'm needing some dream interpreters to figure these out for me so that just maybe I can stop them (and move on to something else wacky!)
What do you think it all means? I'm open to any ideas!! Go ahead. . . leave me a comment. . . I know you are thinking you want to!! I'd love to hear your ideas! (and don't tell me I can't spell or that I have improper sentences and stuff!! My darn spell check thingee doesn't work and I don't really care that I can't write either. . . I'm an accountant for heaven's sake. We do numbers, not letters and such! hee hee)

I have had similar dreams to your college dreams. I think it's when I'm feeling unprepared and overwhelmed, but then again, I'm always feeling unprepared and overwhelmed ;0)
As for your cheeseburger dream, did you recently watch that episode of "I love Lucy" where Lucy and Ethel are working at a chocolate factory, on the conveyor belt, and end up stuffing all the chocolate in their mouths? Your dream reminds me of that.
Hope you sleep better tonight.

I think that kind of dream is really common, and it has to do with not feeling ready for . . . what, for something, whatever you feel unready for. I know I have had them, my husband the lawyer has them about court, it seems like everybody I know has something along these lines. Maybe we ALL feel like we are not ready!!! (maybe we aren't!)

I think that you are dreaming about being out on the field with the drill team naked because you can't find your uniform and those great white patent leather boots! Just go buy another pair and be happy....Vickla

I think it all means that you need to take a higher dose of medication!!

And it wouldn't be a toothpick holder, it would be a ear swab holder!!

Becoming mortified at the realization that you are walking around naked in public, is often a reflection of your vulnerability or shamefulness. You may be hiding something and are afraid that others can nevertheless see right through you. Metaphorically clothes are a means of concealment. With clothes, you can hide your identity or be someone else. But without them, everything is hanging out for all to see. You are left without any defenses. The dream may telling you that you are trying to be something that you really are not. Or that you are fearful of being ridiculed and disgraced. If you are in a new relationship, you may have some fears or apprehension in revealing your true feelings.

Nudity also symbolizes being caught off guard. Finding yourself naked at work or in a classroom, suggests that you are unprepared for a project at work or school. You may be uninformed in making a well-formed decision. With all eyes on you, you have this fear of having some deed brought to public attention. You fear that people will see through your true self and you will be exposed as a fraud or a phony.

Many times, when you realize that you are naked in your dream, no one else seems to notice. Everyone else in the dream is going about their business without giving a second look at your nakedness. This implies that your fears are unfounded; no one will notice except you. You may be magnifying the situation and making an issue of nothing. On the other hand, such dreams may mean your desire (or failure) to get noticed.

For a small percentage of you, dreaming that you are proud of your nakedness and show no embarrassment or shame, then it symbolizes your unrestricted freedom. You have nothing to hide and are proud of who you are. The dream is about a new sense of honesty, openness, and a carefree nature

To dream that you are in school, signifies feelings of inadequacy and childhood insecurities that have never been resolved. It may relate to anxieties about performance and abilities. You may also be going through a "spiritual learning" experience. If you are still in school and dream about school, then it will naturally serve as a backdrop to your dream world. Alternatively, a dream that takes place in school may be a metaphor for the lessons that you are learning from your waking life.

To dream that you are taking an exam, indicates that you are being put to the test or being scrutinized in some way.Such dreams highlight your feelings of being anxious and agitated. You may find that you cannot answer any of the questions on the test or that the test is in some foreign language. Is time running out and you find that you can not complete the exam in the allowed time? Or are you late to the exam? Does your pencil keep breaking during the exam? Such factors contribute to you failing this test. These dreams usually have to do with your self-esteem and confidence or your lack of. You are worried that you are not making the grade and measuring up to other people's expectations of you. You may also experience the fear of not being accepted, not being prepared, or not being good enough. You feel nervous, insecure and tend to believe the worst about yourself.

These dreams also suggest that you may feel unprepared for a challenge. Rarely, are these dreams about the content of the test, but rather the process and how you are feeling during the exam taking process. Generally, you feel distressed and frustrated. These feelings may parallel how you are feeling in a particular challenge or situation in your waking like.

Dreams of this nature are also an indication that you are being judged and this dream is a signal for you to examine an aspect of yourself that you may have been neglecting and need to pay attention to. You may harbor some guilt because of your neglect in preparation for a school exam, meeting, business project, or some challenge. Most of the time, though, people who have such dreams are unlikely to fail a test in real life. This dream goes back to their fear and own anxiety that they may not meet other's standards of them. They are afraid to let others down.
