It was a difficult holiday season for our family as we had to say goodbye to a wonderful lady. She wasn't an ordinary lady but was our Mother, (MIL) and Grandma. Marlene (aka
Pinky) passed away on December 22, 2008 after an amazingly courageous 7 year battle with Cancer. A big hole remains in our hearts and we miss her daily.
Grandma & Grandpa with Baby Ty.
Never too old to dance and enjoy it!
Marlene sporting her sexy head wear (during Chemo treatments) with Keisha.
Can you guess why she was nicknamed
Pinky?? She really was sledding in snow but for some reason ended up sliding out in the grass area.

Grandma with her goofy grand kids last Summer.
We are grateful for the time we had with her and the memories that we will cherish always. Her courage, faith and endless strength in times of great trial will never be forgotten. We love you Mom-Grandma!!

Bye Grandma Mar!!
We'll miss your sweet smile, and quiet sarcasm!
Did you notice that in the first picture they all have on blue stripes??
She looks like she was full of piss and vinegar (that's a GOOD thing!).
I am so sorry for your loss. It's hard any time, but especially sad to lose your loved one at Christmas, I think. What a brave lady she was to battle cancer all that time and still be there for all of you.
I'm sorry about your loss. However, I am glad to hear that you didn't marry a twelve-year-old.
I am sorry about your loss. It is difficult to loose snyone let alone to such a stealing disease! I pray that you were able to fill the void with the Lords gift of joy in your hearts.
and your not telling the truth. I think he was 12!
I am so very sorry for your great loss. This was such a sweet tribute to her.
